This Is Our Place, Spread the Word and London Wildlife Trust’s nature writing project for London, will celebrate the launch of a brand new anthology of nature writing by London writers from diverse communities, at a special event on Saturday 27 November 2021 2 – 4pm. The event will feature readings from the project’s writers-in-residence, Jackee Holder, Elspeth Wilson, Laura Barker, LiLi K. Bright and Anita Sethi, alongside writers whose work has been selected to be part of the anthology which showcases new voices in nature writing. We’ll be celebrating the success of the project, and especially the voices in the anthology.
Due to limited capacity, this is an invite-only event but everyone is welcome to join via the livestream: us02web.zoom.us/j/89166580041
The anthology has been produced as part of our wider nature writing project which offered a free nature writing activity pack, eight free nature writing workshops, and a nature writing competition open to people from London from underrepresented backgrounds who attended a This Is Our Place nature writing workshop. Find out more about This Is Our Place here.
The anthology will be published online on the Spread the Word website from 24 November.
