Are you thinking of applying to Wellcome Collection x Spread the Word Writing Awards?

In this seminar, Spread the Word’s Ruth Harrison and Bobby Nayyar and Wellcome Collection’s David Cahill Roots and Francesca Barrie will discuss the objectives and structure of the newly launched Wellcome Collection x Spread the Word Writing Awards, including who it’s aimed for, how to approach drafting your application, and what we hope the programme will achieve. There will be time for you to ask questions too. This session is helpful and useful but attending it doesn’t guarantee attendees a place on the programme, nor is it a prerequisite to attend this seminar in order to apply.
The Wellcome Collection x Spread the Word Writing Awards is a 5-month development programme for writers aged 18+ who are living full-time in the UK, who are from backgrounds underrepresented in publishing. You can find out more about the programme here: www.spreadtheword.org.uk/spread-the-word-and-wellcome-collection-launch-new-development-programme-for-non-fiction-writers/
Applications are open from 18 October 2021 – 22 November, 5pm.
Application information will be published on our website on Monday 18 October.
