World events and events in our personal lives can feel overwhelming at times. Noisy environments, information overload, social media and political realities often lead to a feeling of trying to navigate a chaotic and seemingly meaningless landscape.

In this session, we will look at different approaches to make meaning out of complexity by looking at how signs, symbols and structure can offer creative outlets. We will explore how syzygy (the yoking together opposites); lists; visual prompts and looking at the page as a space to play, unleashes a spirit of adventure, allowing us to take control of the chaos and create exciting new work.

Read your work at the sharing spot

There are five sharing spot slots available at the salon. If you’d like to share your work please complete the following form by 11am on Friday 4 July 2025https://forms.gle/vZ4fa3H6HbqJiA266

You’ll be asked to provide your contact details, a short bio and the reading you will be doing which should be no longer than 5 minutes. This is so we can send the work to our BSL interpreters in advance of the session. You can submit these in written English, video or audio file format.
