Come and connect with some of the leading agents working in the publishing industry, including Davinia Andrew-Lynch, formerly with Curtis Brown and now an independent agent operating under Andlyn, non-fiction specialist Emma Bal of Madeleine Milburn Agency and Emma Leong of Janklow and Nesbit.
You’ll get an insight into what an agent does and how they work with writers, and have an opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the publishing industry. The event will be hosted by Spread the Word’s Bobby Nayyar.

Access information:
- All of our in-person events Friday-Sunday, including this one, will be BSL Interpreted for audiences that require it. For workshops, you will be asked when booking your free ticket if you require the services of a BSL interpreter. For all workshops where one or more attendees require BSL interpretation, we will arrange for an interpreter to be there.
- This event is wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets.

Davinia Andrew-Lynch is a literary agent and the founder of boutique agency, ANDLYN. Initially specialising in children's and YA Fiction, she is now expanding her list to represent a focused list of adult authors of commercial genre fiction. Davinia is a former agent of Curtis Brown and co-created the FAB PRIZE in association with Faber Children's, which is now going into its fifth year. Prior to this she was an associate film/TV agent and freelance editor.

Emma Bal is a Literary Agent at the Madeleine Milburn Agency specialising in non-fiction books across subjects like history, the arts, social sciences, politics and cookery. Before becoming an agent, she spent over a decade working in publishing houses, as Head of Publicity at Bloomsbury and before that as a publicist at Penguin Press.
