Sam Castell Ward

Festival artist

Sam is a multi-talented artist—a poet, actor, playwright, and performer. As a singer/songwriter, Sam is celebrated for his distinct blend of folk punk. He draws comparisons to legends like Billy Bragg and Bob Dylan, using his music to spotlight social and political issues. In 2022 Sam released his first poetry EP ‘Trapped in this Life' and his latest music EP ‘In The Background’ explores themes of inequality, resilience, and the experiences of those often marginalised by society.
Through tactile, mixed-media techniques, Majek bridges the physical and spiritual, weaving together past, present, and future. She is deeply interested in how histories and futures are preserved, revitalised, and shared as tools for transformation. Alongside her studio practice, Majek leads workshops and community projects, using art to inspire play and wellbeing, foster connection, and cultivate individual and collective imagination.
